Information was shared and exchanged at the 32nd Loan Shark and Black
Market Lender Victim Conference with Mr. Damon Gibbons (Director of the
Centre for Responsible Credit) invited from the United Kingdom and 19 lawyers
and activists from South Korea participating. After the conference, an
meeting to exchange opinions with Mr. Gibbons was held. Mutual understanding
was deepened by discussing efforts toward the multiple debt problem in
both Japan and the United Kingdom as well as the challenges faced. |

Debt Reduction” was held in Taipei and a total of 16 members from our committee
including reporters participated. Activities to lobby the legislators and

We visited Seoul in order to investigate the status of relief for multiple
debtors in Korea Places we visited: A law firm in Seoul, the Minsaeng Alliance, and the Club for Debtors Discharged from Debts etc. |

We invited the representative of the Taipei Subcommittee of the Taiwan Legal Aid Foundation, which aims to provide relief for consumer finance victims in Taiwan, to the victim’s meeting held in Ozu, Shiga. We exchanged opinions and information. |

in Taipei with the support of the Legal Aid Foundation and the Taiwan Consumer
Cultural and Educational Foundation.11 members from our committee took
part in this event. After the event, we conducted a 2km street protest in Taipei City. |

We agreed to hold an international exchange event involving Japan, Korea and Taiwan in Osaka in order to solve the issues of multiple debts. The Nihon Shohi Keizai Shinbun invited the members of the Taiwan Consumer Cultural and Education Foundation to this meeting. |
